I don't know why sherpa gillen complains that the pack is too heavy with food after we visit town I don't seem to have a problem with it at all

Old bridge - long gully bridge on the way to Dookanelly campsite, this section was voted the hardest section of the bib track but it was not that bad, I thought some of the sandhills down south were worse.

This campsite after rain it was freezing last night brrrhhh and we are both now glad to be in dwellingup with a hot shower, warm bed to go to and a full belly, he had a BLT and I had a hamburger with a vanilla milkshake yum. Well we have now completed over 753klms with only 210 to go next update when we reach Kalamunda! (are we there yet?)

balingup to collie

This is gorgeous sharron from the visitors centre down at ballingup when we came in in the afternoon and it was a hot one to sign the bib track book she offered and took us swimming out at the natural greenbushes pool what a great treat and so nice and welcoming for a country town. PS the pub meal is great in ballingup and dwayne the bartender makes you feel very welcome!

first campsite on the way to collie and not only is it grim by name but also by nature took us 8 hours to get there...aaah we got lost x 3 times from balingup as there was a lack of markers (waugals) and we were knackered when we got in

First campsite we have shared since gardner the one south of northcliffe on the way here I saw my first feral pig and no it wasn't colm it was a black and white one and ran really fast past me

Not sure if you can see the black cockatoos with the red tail but there was 2 male and 2 female and they were just happy swalking to each other and then flew away but it was so good to see

Long walk into collie a spur trail of almost 3 klms please! Also this will be the last photo with the pink top and black shorts they have run out as they are both holey and slightly too big for me.....yeah

Soon there will be nothing left of the man need to feed him up when we get into town and guess the first place we hit is mcdonalds....but saw the meal down the pub tonight is going to be shepherds pie.....with veges yum! and just one pint of course as we are walking 23klm tomorrow and to beat the heat we wake at 4am...

Northcliffe - Pemberton - Donnolly River and Balingup

The view outside the motel all the parrots come for feeding in the afternoon, the pub meal down there at northcliffe was lovely colm had a mixed grill and I had lamb chops with 8 different vegetables, let me tell you its all about food on the track! Also something we have noticed in the forest is that when there are kookaburra's around they are the last bird call of the evening and the first one in the morning

We stayed at the kilns that night old tobacco kilns that have been turned into accommodation, comfy bed and nice meal what more could you ask for? and bonus we got 6 free range eggs and nectarines and plums from the farm

what no shirt? A rat ate into colms rucksack at this camp so he has fine memories.... also at night we saw two quendas coming down to the pool for  a drink

We met another walker Guy from exmouth who said he now had çalves of steel'after walking the hills where we are now so just to prove that mine aren't exactly steel yet I fell over and caught on some twigs....but all better now

Are we there yet? also I have a confession to make I am now part of the sad bastards book club yes I have actually read a mills and boon book now when our reading material ran out. I told colm how good they were and how he would have to lift his game but he said Raye that is why they are called fiction!

Our morning tea breaks, coffee and a muesli bar to see us through! Better than the night meals cream of chicken soup tastes insipid according to colm I do not think that any masterchef contestant has any concerns with us!

Okay to get to this campsite about a 1.5klm out the notes read that now you will find yourself at the base of cardiac hill colm and I just say what? Then he says well no hill has killed us yet and proof we did make it! One person made me laugh in the red book he put "I thought I was a heartless bastard until I went up cardiac hill now I am just a bastard"
