collie to dwellingup

Just to prove that I do feed him our meal in collie, shepherds pie and veges and then he even goes and finishes mine. what can I say about collie its an interesting town....

Walking through the forests

All the grass trees we have moved to different forests now

At harris dam just out of collie and only 3klm from our hut

Beautiful lake but because its in a water catchment area no swimming allowed

More of harris dam outside of collie

I don't know why sherpa gillen complains that the pack is too heavy with food after we visit town I don't seem to have a problem with it at all

Yourdaming campsite we shared the hut with some british backpackers lovely couple they had walked from perth in 36 degrees some days phew

Nice forest

Having his nanny nap at the campsite

Look Mary no moobs anymore......

Old bridge - long gully bridge on the way to Dookanelly campsite, this section was voted the hardest section of the bib track but it was not that bad, I thought some of the sandhills down south were worse.

Some of the scenery

Well it was a few hills to dookanelly, 8 to be exact but I am getting better at them now

This was just such a nice bridge along the track well kept

Just made to photograph through

Murray campsite on the banks of the murray where we both went for a swim/bath

The mighty Murray

Enjoying a cup of tea at the riverside

We also got a swim at swamp oak and the water here was lovely and clear

Just to prove that I go in as well.....it was a bit cold though

This campsite after rain it was freezing last night brrrhhh and we are both now glad to be in dwellingup with a hot shower, warm bed to go to and a full belly, he had a BLT and I had a hamburger with a vanilla milkshake yum. Well we have now completed over 753klms with only 210 to go next update when we reach Kalamunda! (are we there yet?)

quote for the day 'no matter where you send an envelope it will always be stationary' (I know they are getting worse)

  1. Hi Raye and Colm, looking at your photos keeps reminding us of our slog on the track. Can't say our latest sail was any easier though. Got blasted crossing the southern ocean from Albany to Portland Vic. Jude's good. No more pain from walking, just a bit bruised from us being being knocked about.
    Cheers Jack and Jude
